The Experience Why choose between intimacy and vastness? Our Kruger and Ukutula Safari Combo is designed for the traveler who wants to understand the African Lion from every angle. This best 3-day safari package begins with wildlife conservation education at the world-renowned Ukutula Lodge and concludes with an adrenaline-fueled adventure in the legendary Kruger National Park.
For both your Ukutula Lion Interaction and your Kruger National Park guided bushwalk, keep these essentials in mind:
The Kruger and Ukutula Safari Combo is specifically curated to tell the story of the African Lion.
At Ukutula, you step into a “Living Lab.” You’ll gain insight into the Lion Research Program and see how Wildlife Conservation Education is saving the species from the “silent extinction” facing many big cats today. This is the only place where you can observe the social bonds of lions from just a few meters away, guided by experts who know each animal’s personality. Here you have the opportunity to walk with the lions
Then, we transition to the Kruger National Park, a 2-million-hectare sanctuary where the lions you track are the undisputed rulers. Here, the Big Five Tracking becomes a game of chess. You’ll learn how to identify “alarm calls”—the frantic bark of a Kudu or the chatter of a squirrel—that signal a predator is on the move.
Your stay is divided between two distinct African settings, ensuring you experience both the comfort of a conservation lodge and the rustic charm of the Kruger wilderness.
